wow. we are back finally!!!! its like. wow. 2 weeks haha and i have missed so much! liverpool drew once and lost once since i was away and garcia came back too! haha. ok but enough abt pool. china was good i guess. i wont say its better than i expected lah but it was a good learning experience. learning to deal with people and live with them and bear with each others differences. to emily, eyebrows, lily, andrew, felix, JOSHUA, casey, reuben, benjamin, yen, girl-who-gave-me-a-present, edison, huo gang.... and many many more, even though you will not be reading this i thank you for opening your lives to me and being my friend. thank you for being so warm and friendly and i will not forget all of you. esp emily, who really trusted me and treated me like a very close friend. eyebrows, so cute! and he came to find me every lunch time to eat with us. you are really cute lah! joshua, just for being super handsome and for the santarina hat and scarf :) its really qt an eye opener because the living conditions in yanling are like really qt crappy. our hotel din even have sitting toilets! and like the people live in even worse conditions. some students were telling me that everyone is poor in yanling and when i look around i cant help but agree. its like they treated us like stars because they have never seen foreigners before and i guess maybe cos we dress better than them too. i have the feeling it got to our heads sometimes which is bad lah but i think on the whole it was qt ok :)
of cos how to forget the wonderful people that i went with! i thank God so much for my group, esmond and the lovely ladies!!!
jo my pear and roommate, she who is made for me! haha. we complement each other so much with our UNmessy habits and modesty and amazingly good songwriting skills and our thriftyness at buying food and our eating of the food and the list goes on. im so happy that jo was my roommate cos i guess we really got to know each other even better and there was someone to be crazy with me!
esther, whose throat does fester. even though she wasnt in our group originally but im glad she joined us! i have to admit i had mixed feelings about it at first but when she did join, it was great. im sorry for leaving you out at times but i really do love ya alot :) and i guess we did manage to talk abit which was good lah.
ting, who i hardly knew at all before the trip but now i know to be a normally sane but sometimes insane person who can get influenced by me and jo to blow kisses! haha. ting is like the sanest person in our group which is like a stabalising force :)
serena, who i havent really talked to at all since pri sch so it was good to get to know her again. i guess i learnt qt alot about her through this trip, and its like getting to know a whole new person! cos my pri sch memory is seriously like gone liao :p
darryl (donna), the himbo of the group, he who acts gay but somehow isnt, he who looks at guys and girls alike, who laughs for no reason in the middle of meetings, who has SUCH a nice voice tt i die of jealousy, who is so happy tt he looks "99% zhou jie lun", who is crazy yet was so excited about bringing people to know the Lord, who is so shy about sharing, and who was basically the one who made us laugh the most!
esmond, who i became closer to during the trip, who is moodswingy sometimes but responsible always. im glad that he was our leader because hes a really responsible guy! and im so grateful he was in my group because his jacket and gloves totally saved my life :) though hes really thickskinned and reminds pple of the times he is nice to them, he was really qt nice to me lah! though he kept making fun of me and stuff. but thats NORMAL.
other than my group members, how can i forget the other people that i met and got to know better!
LOY, the cutest person EVER, the teddy bear/snow bear, who is like always sleeping or looking like hes sleeping, who gets drunk on tea and just goes mad!!! loy is so funny we can all die. esp when he sings with or without youuuuuuuuuu
other fellow shalomers who went on the trip, chuili, joy, loo and kx, sharing life journeys with each other really taught me alot more about all of you and although i didnt really get to talk to ull alot but yeah i did learn more abt each and every one of you as well as love all of you more!
richard kor kor!the oldest yepper but his chinese is worse than mine! haha. i will never forget his gloves :p and how pleased he is that he is kor kor and not uncle :)
generi who is like super lame and NOT funny!!! haha. he always tokking rubbish and stuff but is a really nice person to hang out with. and of cos he is super attractive to GUYS and GAYS.
duane who showed his super kiam pa side, and who lent me autumn to learn to play! and he can make hearts melt with his "one" and his blurness is super funny!!
leon! my guitar teacher and who somehow always looks like hes being sarcastic! haha. hes the only person so far who ive actually managed to remeber what they teach me on the guitar! leon rocks! :)
zhong xin who is the nicest man alive, who is so mature and warm and caring, and who im so grateful went on the trip. i was really thanking God alot for zhong because he is such a special and wonderful person! i am wei xin!
yupps. and for all the rest who i din really have a chance to talk to, i love u all too! haha. i think the best part about the trip were the people involved, the people that i met and those who went with me. in fact, we like missed each other so much that we spent the day together today too! after church we went andrews hse to celebrate his baptism then they all came over to my place to hang out and dot and joy cut andrews hair! haha. he looks so cool now :) we then went for dinner at fish and co. joy was saying tt we will suffer from withdrawal sympthoms when we dun see each other everyday anymore and i think we will leh! haha.
of course another thing abt the trip was God. i was qt touched by God a few times in the trip, and i guess it made me realise how much God has blessed me in Singapore and how the things i go through and complain about is nothing compared to the hardship they have to endure. something that struck me alot was how fortunate we are to have freedom of worship here in singapore, its like i took it for granted that in singapore i can praise God whenever i want, i can talk freely about my faith and stuff. and of course bringing people to Christ was amazing because although i have been a christian for so long, i have never ever brought ayone to Christ before this trip, so it was qt amazing when they said yes and decided to believe! praise the Lord :)
hmm i guess i have alot more to say lah. but i wun say it here haha.i guess i went into the trip hoping that God will use it to take something away but in fact it has become even stronger which is really bad. help!
